Instagram recently took to the airwaves to let everyone know they are putting a strong focus on “safety.”
They outlined exactly how they would make the Instagram experience a safe one, which mainly included global verification form for notable public figures, evaluation of authenticity of accounts with large followings, and a two-factor authentication to make logging in safer and easier.
One of the first areas is in the “About this Account.”
Once again this will be putting the spotlight on the larger accounts. Users will be able to see more information on such Instagram accounts.
How to See More Profile Information on Instagram:
Go to the profile
Tap the … menu
Select “About This Account”
Here’s what will show in the “about this account” section:
Date account joined Instagram
Country where account is located
Accounts with shared followers
Username changes in the last year
Any ads the account is currently running
This month (September), those who have accounts that reach large audiences can review the information about their accounts that will be publicly available.
