Can You Promote a Review Website with Google Ads?

Google Ads for reviews website

A popular uprising is the creation of “reviews websites.” As a way to increase exposure to affiliate links, people write “review websites” about a certain group of products.

Google Ads for a reviews website

Since a review website is a website and as long as it’s not practicing any malicious types of work such as hacking or dangerous content, you can use Google Ads.

Here are the 5 MUSTS for Your Google Ads for Your Reviews Website

  1. Keyword research! Two free tools to check, the Google Ads Keyword Planner and SEMRush (you can get a limited number of searches there before choosing the paid option)
  2. Make sure your keywords, ads, and landing page all match or you will be charged more.
  3. Set your goals. The more data you have, the better. If you’re able to see which keywords lead to conversions on your site (ie, clicking your affiliate link), you can make better Google Ads decisions.
  4. Don’t skip the extensions. Add callout and sitelink extensions at the very least.
  5. Use display. Your reviews site needs a lot of eyes on it, a lot of exposure. Using Google’s display network of 1000s of websites, you have a big chance of being seen at a much lower cost.
